Ironing:
* Low heat/steam: If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and the steam function to remove wrinkles. Iron the garment while it is slightly damp or use a steam iron for best results.
* Iron on reverse side: Always iron the satin on the reverse side to prevent damage to the shiny surface.
* Use a pressing cloth: To further protect the fabric, place a cotton pressing cloth between the iron and the satin to avoid direct contact with the heat.
Storage:
* Store in a cool, dry place: Satin garments should be stored in a cool, dry area, away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading and deterioration of the fibers.
* Avoid hanging for long periods: Hanging satin garments for extended periods can cause them to stretch out, particularly due to the elastane content. If hanging, use padded hangers to avoid pressure marks. Alternatively, fold the garment neatly.
* Use garment bags for delicate items: For silk-based satin garments, it's best to store them in breathable garment bags to protect them from dust, dirt, and light exposure.
Stains:
* Spot clean: For small stains, spot clean with a mild detergent and cold water. Gently blot the area with a clean cloth; avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fabric.
